Super quick post today because there is another one to come very soon....
I sadly didn't get round to doing my chocolate themed post before Easter, but when chocolate is this delicious and this good for you, you really don't need a special occasion to eat it! This makes an incredibly fast pudding, an easy sweet snack or a perfectly indulgent breakfast.
By now I am sure you all know why raw cacao is far superior to highly processed chocolate (rich in antioxidants, vitamins and mood boosting compounds) - team this with juicy medjool dates which are nature's caramel, avocado for a light and oh-so-creamy texture (and to give you healthy, glowing skin) and almond butter for heart health and a generous dose of calcium and vitamin E - and you have one of the most virtuous chocolatey treats ever!
To continue the Easter feeling and for more chocolate inspiration why not try:
- Healthy Nutella
- Dark Chocolate and Hazelnut Truffles
- Raw Chocolate Brownies
- Brownie Ice Cream with Hot Chocolate Sauce
- Chocolate Courgette Cake
Ingredients:
Serves 1
1 banana
0.5 avocado
2 tsp raw cacao
3-4 medjool dates (depending how sweet you like it)
2 tsp almond butter
1 tbsp coyo
2 tsp maca powder (optional but gives a yummy malty taste)
Water (to reach desired consistency)
Method:
Blend all ingredients until completely smooth then pour into a bowl and serve. I love mine topped with Maple Apricot Quinoa Granola.
